Autumn is here!

Oct 27th My man and a redwood.

Unusually for the two of us (Steve finds it difficult to take time off from running his shop), because of Elle and Belle, we were able to spend almost a whole day off on our own! Bliss!

And there's more........

I am sure we should really have been cycling, but instead Steve took me to Westonbirt Arboretum. I will try not to bore you with photos, but the colours were just AMAZING!

Yes we can grow maples in UK too!
Steve is the expert on plants, but he cannot remember exactly the name of this Sorbis. But aren't the berries unusual

I don't know who this lovely couple are, but I just thought they opitimise Autumn!

Gloucester seems to have had more than its fair share of rain lately, everywhere was muddy today! But I just had to get a record of the beautiful wet sheen on this amazingly shaped yew tree. It's wonderful to think that this tree carries a drug for helping those with cancer. It also feels so comfortingly cool when you walk under a yew tree.

I remember this was an evergreen of some discription, but don't remember which one. I just think the bark looks as though someone has sculpted clay on it with a palate knife.

I also finished another Christmas sock. More on the craftiness next time!
